I've been trying to use Handbrake to not only compress some of my movies, but to burn in any potential forced subtitles…That's my understanding of what "Forced" subtitles are for. If "string" is omitted, the first track is. If I am right this is similar to like the subtitles they'd use for Jabba the Hutt in Star Wars. I just searched the MakeMKV Mac forum for this, and find many posts about Handbrake and subtitles. Choose Tracks and click on Import Subtitles. I run the MKV file through a application called Subtitle Extractor.
